Requirements and eligibility

General requirements

• Hold Spanish nationality and reside in Spain.
• Be between 18 and 30 years old inclusive at the time of application.
• Not have previously obtained a Working Holiday Visa for Japan.

Financial requirements

You must demonstrate sufficient funds to support yourself during the stay. The amount varies based on your flight ticket situation:

• EUR 4,000 — without a flight ticket.
• EUR 3,000 — with a one-way ticket.
• EUR 2,000 — with a round-trip ticket.

Medical and legal documentation

• Medical certificate confirming good health.
• Criminal record declaration (clean record required).

Restrictions

• You cannot apply if you have previously held a WHV for Japan.
• You cannot be accompanied by dependents during the stay.
